As directors of the Suisun American Little League for the upcoming season, our mission is to provide our children with a rewarding, enjoyable experience that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and knowledge of the game. We will focus on safety, fundamentals, and proper techniques. Little League is an experience designed to be enjoyed by the entire family. We want everyone to enjoy the season. Suisun American Little League, like all local leagues, is governed by a Board of Directors. The responsibilities of the board include (but are not limited to): providing a playing facility; registration of players; financing league operations; conducting try-outs, holding a draft; recruiting managers and coaches; maintaining facilities; ensuring compliance with the rules of Little League; scheduling; selecting fundraisers; running the snack bar; maintaining adequate, safe playing, equipment; training managers, coaches, umpires, team parents, scorekeepers; selecting an all-star team; ensuring proper paperwork is filed to maintain charter; and ruling on discipline or rule violations.
Suisun American board meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month. These are "open meetings" and we encourage all parents to attend and have a voice in your league. These meetings are open to everyone and are an excellent way for you to keep up with upcoming events as well as decisions being made that affect our league.
