Season Update

Hello Little League Parents and Players,

I know everyone is eager to know the status of our season, with the beautiful weather here to remind us of our favorite pastime. These last six weeks have given us all a new normal.

Our District 53 administration provides us with official updates from Little League International. The Little League International is advising not to cancel the season.  While the bulk of our traditional season has passed, but like everything else we are adjusting to our new normal.  We want to reclaim the work that has already been done and salvage our baseball season in late spring and summer.

Safety for our players, parents, community is vital. We will be adhering to the guidelines set forth by our state, local government and health officials in terms of public gatherings, organized youth sports and sporting events.

The message we must all remember is that we are #InThisTogether and this too will pass.  While we have no definite date, we must hold strong there will be an end. We will be ready to play baseball!

Little League International is keeping all options open and have asked all leagues to do the same.  They are discussing starting in July and the addition of local tournaments into the Fall.  Nothing is confirmed, but as we now know anything is possible. Keep practicing with your players.

When dates become available and as we prepare to walk on the fields together, we will have options available for those families who cannot join us for this season.

Be Safe, Be Strong, Be Kind, we are #InThisTogether!
